Fields of activity

From the start, the programme was envisionned to target long term benefits for the population of Dzogchen. It will provide a stable and coherent framework in which to develop projects. The following fields of activity will be covered:

• Education
• Health
• Economic development
• Cultural preservation and exchange

Preparatory phase

After the necessary preparatory phase where the Zangdok Palri Lotus was inventorying and analysing the needs of the population and exploring the different ways in which we can help, the Programme Management Team decided in early 2001 to launch the first project under the Programme: to build a school for girls.

First phase

The first phase will cover the initiation, the launch and the monitoring of the benefits of the first 2 projects. Currently, we're considering to be in the First Phase of the programme, where several projects will be launched, in the different fields referred here above.
After an interim evaluation, planned to be conducted during summer 2004, the workplan and the overall approach will be reviewed and adapted as appropriated.
